The Lyme Recovery Clinic & Detox Center was launched in 2017 to help those suffering from Lyme disease and other chronic illnesses heal through all-natural, herbal supplements, intensive detox measures, and energy healing & counseling practices.

The clinic was founded by Gregg Kirk, who is originally from the Philadelphia area and who has been practicing Reiki, Human Tuning, Past-life Regression, and remote energy healing for almost two decades.

He also suffered from Lyme disease for more than 15 years. After moving to Connecticut in 1999, he began noticing strange symptoms and spent more than two years seeking a diagnosis. Finally, in 2005 a holistic doctor diagnosed him with Lyme disease, and Kirk spent the next several years trying a combination of Western medicine and long-term antibiotics to little avail. In March of 2011, he visited John of God’s Casa de Dom Inácio de Loyola in Abadiania, Brazil where he experienced a major reduction of his symptoms and a spiritual awakening that inspired him to help others with chronic illness.

In December of 2016 Kirk was trained by Dr. Lee Cowden, MD in treatment guidance of the Cowden Protocol, a very successful all-herbal treatment program for Lyme disease patients. Since the training, Kirk has been helping Lyme patients all across the country with the protocol as well as herbal supplements and detox treatments he utilized in his own healing journey. He is a certified Reiki Master in the state of Connecticut. He is a registered practitioner of the CellCore protocols,  a master-level Theta Healing instructor/practitioner, and he has completed Gerald O’Donnell’s well-known remote viewing program.

In 2012, Kirk created the Ticked Off Music Fest to become the only ongoing music series solely focused on Lyme disease education, awareness and fundraising. Its focus is to go to areas where the rate of infection is high but awareness is low.

In 2015, Kirk also founded the Ticked Off Foundation, a Lyme support organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance and support to Lyme disease patients over the age of 26 who are in crisis. The organization does this through grants and counseling in an effort to stem the tide of Lyme-related suicides.

In 2017, Kirk created and launched LymeKnowledge.com, an easy-to-understand web resource written by him and several Lyme patients to help broadcast the most accurate and up-to-date information on Lyme prevention, symptoms, diagnosis & treatments.

In 2018, he published the book “The Gratitude Curve — Using the lessons of chronic illness to reach personal empowerment.” The memoir chronicles his healing struggles, lessons learned and road he took to recovery. Not simply a recounting of his conquest over a life-threatening affliction, the book focuses on the attitudes and hidden lessons that changed the trajectory of his life for the better. With a focus on the pandemic of Lyme disease, he dives into the unsettling details of his own symptoms, varied treatments (both failed and successful), and knowledge gained from his experiences. The book also makes a dramatic departure from the expected focus on physical treatments to the uncharted realms of spirituality and mystical healing and their very real impact on patients of chronic diseases.

The Lyme Recovery Clinic & Detox Center was created as a safe space for patients of chronic illness to unplug from their busy lifestyles and focus attention on their healing… even if only for an hour or two.
